What does deworming mean?

This is a preventive healthcare routine that protects your pet from getting worms. The doctor can recommend the deworming medication best suited for your pet. They typically come in oral forms. (There are also injectable forms usually reserved for severe worm infestations.) Medications typically protect against a wide range of worms.

How often should my pet be dewormed?

Dogs, cats, and other pets should receive deworming medication all year round. The frequency may vary depending on their medication and unique situation. Once every 3 to 4 months is quite normal.

Do I need to deworm all my pets?

Yes. A common mistake among pet owners is deworming only one of the pets they have in their home. Protecting one pet does not protect all of your pets. This leaves the others vulnerable to getting and spreading parasites.
